What GetRateo collects, what it does not, and who else is involved. Your loan figures never leave your browser unless you share the link yourself.

Your calculation never reaches us
There is no account, no database and no server-side processing of anything you type. The amount, rate, term and any extra payments are computed entirely in your browser. They are written into the address bar so you can bookmark or share a scenario, and that link is the only way those numbers ever travel, if you choose to send it to someone.
What is stored on your device
Two things, both in your browser's local storage and neither readable by us: your light or dark theme preference, and your answer to the analytics question. Nothing is stored on our side. Clearing your browser data removes both.
Analytics, only if you allow it
If you allow it, Google Analytics records that a page was opened, roughly where in the world from, and which site referred you. It sets cookies to do so. We explicitly strip the query string before anything is reported, so the loan amount, rate and term in your address bar are never transmitted. If you decline, no analytics script is loaded at all and no request is made to Google.
Advertising
This site is intended to be funded by display advertising, which is not yet active. When it is, this page will name the ad provider, and the consent prompt will cover advertising cookies before any ad is served.
Who else is involved
Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve the site and defend against abuse. Google Analytics acts as a processor only where you have allowed it. Fonts are served from our own domain, so no request is made to Google Fonts.
Your rights
Because we hold no account and no stored record of you, there is generally nothing for us to look up, correct or erase. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser data for this site, which restores the prompt. For anything held by Google, their own privacy controls apply.
